Enjoy the below 8 min meditation with Tabitha and join her weekly for class to further your Yoga Nidra Practice.
Yoga Nidra is intended to induce full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. Bringing an incredible calmness, Nidra is a form of relaxation and has been found to reduce tension, anxiety and headaches and is often used to help soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder.
In yoga nidra, practitioners are guided through breath work and visualization by spoken word. Then, they awoken to the conscious state. In this yoga nidra class, we will also work on setting a sankalpa, or focused resolution. Your sankalpa is a goal you want to fulfill in the next six to eighteen months and should be a goal to help you fulfill your dharma, or your purpose in life. The most effective sankalpa is made when you are not intellectually active, but when your mind is calm and quiet.
The practice of Yoga Nidra leads awareness through many levels of mental process to a state of supreme stillness and insight. Fully grounded, accessible to all levels. Not heated.
